Weekend Ramblings

Does anyone else find this photo amusing?

I didn't make this up, although I did obliterate the exchange on the phone number. I showed it to daughter Jessica (we went to Columbus for a visit this weekend) and she just shrugged. I guess it's one of those things that aren't funny if you have to explain.

Hmm... I wonder if the Super Bowl is over. Who Cares? In case you didn't already know, I am not much of a sports fan. I watch one or two football games a year on television and I enjoy them very much. But I'm just not into it like a lot of folks. I wonder what could be accomplished if we could harness all of that excitement and energy that people unleash when paying lots of money on travel, tickets, food, souvenirs, etc. to watch millionaires employed by billionaires to play a game?

We had an NYI Council Meeting on Saturday morning and it was here! So, since we didn't have to drive to the meeting, we decided to drive to Columbus! ;-)

It was a good trip - especially in the food department. I hit a Mongolian Barbeque Link, Chipotle Link, and then on the way home, a pizza buffet. What a deal!

Last night we saw "August Rush" at the cheapie theater ($2 admission). It was pretty good. Jessica and Jael really liked it.

This afternoon, I tagged along with Jael and Jessica as they went shopping at a closing Schottenstein's. Oh boy! Excitement to rival the Super Bowl. I survived.

Anyway, not much else going on a Chez Fultonian. More next time...
