You may know that we have 3 granddaughters. Everyone always told me that grandkids were great, but everyone understated it.

Anyway, Jael and I were talking about some of the things that the grandkids have said recently and she told me that we should be writing them down. Where? What document would we keep track of? So, I decided to do it here.

I am by no means rich. I have never been rich. Most likely, I will never be rich. I don't mind paying my share, but I think others should pay their fair share as well.

Nearly 50% of the American people pay no income taxes. I realize that most of these people pay *some* taxes. They probably pay taxes on everything they buy and if they own any property, they probably pay some sort of property tax... [More]

Unexpected Blessing

Last Friday, I had difficulty getting out of bed. If you know me, you might say that there is nothing new in that and you would be right. But on this day, it was even worse than usual. I was very glum and, yes, full of worry. Life is tough right now. In any event, on my way to work and the radio was on, but I wasn't listening to it. I was thinking and moping; even talking to God a bit. The weather wasn't helping. It had stormed Thursday night and it was still completely overcast.
