Mellow Greetings, Citizen.

Last Friday, I had difficulty getting out of bed. If you know me, you might say that there is nothing new in that and you would be right. But on this day, it was even worse than usual. I was very glum and, yes, full of worry. Life is tough right now. In any event, on my way to work and the radio was on, but I wasn't listening to it. I was thinking and moping; even talking to God a bit. The weather wasn't helping. It had stormed Thursday night and it was still completely overcast.

I arrived at work and pulled into a parking place. I reluctantly opened the door to get our, but I was greeted with a sweet, cool breeze. It felt so good! I wasn't very motivated to move anyway and I just sat enjoying the gift that had been presented to me.

After a couple of minutes, I decided that I should get moving so I got out of the car. Since it was still totally overcast from horizon to horizon, I opened the back door and leaned in to retrieve my umbrella. At that moment, a very bright light fell on the right side of my face. I thought another car had pulling into a parking place with its high-beams on. But when I stood upright and turned, I discovered that a very small hole had formed in the clouds, perfectly aligned with the sun so that a sunbeam shone on me!

It looked like this except the hole was much smaller and of course the beam was shining directly on me.

I don't believe in coincidences...

Psalm 46:1 (NIV)

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Its when its dark and gloomy that the light shines through and reminds us that we have a purpose. Psalm 46:4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God. Peace Mark
